They produced valves in the USA and distributed valves that they sourced around the globe under the Raytheon brand name. 1961 They took over British electronics company AC Cossor and merged it with Raytheon
Very rare Dual Side Square Getter5U4GB Raytheon USA rectifier that was made by Raytheon for use in military applications.
These the early Black anode plate version that features the dual square top side getters and thick ribbed reinforced plates. Raytheon marking and logo in yellow printed on the valve base.
5U4GB Raytheon are very sought after due the exception quality control and sound quality. They were use as original valves in many early 1960's era Fender amplifiers.
5U4GB Raytheon proved to be long lasting in demanding applications. One of the most popular rectifiers for use in Mesa Boogie Mighty Dual and Triple rectifiers. If you have one of these early Fender amplifiers or a Classic Mesa Rectifier then this valve is many professionals first choice
Sadly 5U4GB of this quality and with Black plates are now getting extremely hard to find.
