Delivery is available worldwide at our discretion .We will ship you goods by the most appropriate method either via Royal mail special delivery or via UPS. We will provide shipping costs at the time the order is placed. Most goods are available from stock, and will be delivered within 7 working days. If we anticipate a delay beyond this, we will inform you and give you the opportunity to cancel the order.Returns Policy
In order for us to process a return you must obtain a Return authority number. This will enable us to book in your product and enable us to deal with the matter promptly. We do not accept any items without a return authority number as we cannot guarantee a turn around time on these items. It is your responsibility to obtain this from us.
No Fault Returns:
The goods must be unused and 'as new' in their original box and packaging including all manuals and accessories. Unused means that the valves, components, drivers, parts or any products have not been used, installed or fitted to any device. They have no marks on the base or have been used or installed in anyway. You must notify us within 2 days from date of delivery and it will be your responsibility to return the goods to us at your own cost and risk via an insured traceable method. Goods received back 'as new' but incomplete with missing components and accessories will have the cost of the accessories charged to you. Goods received back in any condition other than 'as new' will be returned back to you with you paying all return charges.
No fault Returns where you have ordered an item and wish to exchange item for the same type number will be done at full goods value providing the items have not been used or installed. We cannot offer any refund of carriage costs. All other no fault returns are subject to a restocking fee of 25 % of the goods valve plus V.A.T if applicable.
Faulty Returns - Dead on Arrival:
A product is deemed to be 'dead on arrival' if it shows symptoms of hardware failure preventing basic operation upon its first use out of the box. In such instances please contact us within 7 days from the delivery date. You will need to return the faulty item back to us for evaluation. Upon receipt of the goods and confirmation of the fault by our technicians you will be offered the following options:
1. A replacement - this item will be shipped to you at our expense.
2. A full refund - provided the item has been verified faulty and is complete with all accessories in its original box and packaging.
If the product is not found to be faulty by our technicians then you will be offered the following options:
1. Return of the goods - the cost of delivery will be charged to you.
2. Refund - the invoice cost less any applicable delivery charges and restocking fee provided the product is 'as new' and complete with all accessories in its original box and packaging. If the condition of the product or the packaging is poor then we reserve the right to impose a charge to cover re-packaging costs. Missing accessories will also be charged to you. The refund is at our discretion and we reserve the right to refuse a refund.
Export Sales
We are not responsible for any carriage costs both in ward or outward and for any duties or taxes imposed by carriers or Government bodies in the event of any goods being return to us. These costs are the responsibility of the buyer. We will pass on to the buyer any charges made to us in order to obtain any returned item.
Terms & Conditions
The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions on this website. The use of this site indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. The placement of an order indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully and print a copy for future reference.
1. Interpretation
In these Terms and Conditions (Terms), the following words and phrases shall have the following meanings:
"The Buyer" means the person, firm or company who purchases the Goods from the Company:
included in this term also includes “Consumer” means an individual acting for purposes which are wholly or mainly outside that individual’s trade, business, craft or profession; “trader” means a person acting for purposes relating to that person’s trade, business, craft or profession, whether acting personally or through another person acting in the trader’s name or on the trader’s behalf.
The "Company" means Watford Valves.
"Contract" means the contract between the Company and the Buyer/Consumer/Trader which shall be deemed to incorporate these Terms;
"Goods" means any goods agreed in the contract to be supplied by the Company to the Buyer/
Consumer/Trader. Contract is, In these Terms, reference to any statute or statutory provision shall be construed as a reference to such statute or statutory provision as amended, modified, re-enacted or replaced from time-to-time.
2. The Contract
The Contract shall be on these terms to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions, including any such terms and conditions that are purported to be included or applied by the Buyer.
No terms and conditions contained in the confirmation of order, purchase order or other document of the Buyer will form part of the Contract.
3. Delivery and availability
Any dates specified by the Company for delivery of the Goods are intended to be an estimate only. If no date is specified for delivery of the Goods, delivery shall be within a reasonable time.
4. Time Limitation for Notification of Claims
Damage in transit: If goods arrive in a damaged condition you must make a note on the carrier's delivery consignment note and it will be your responsibility to inform us within 3 days from delivery. You must keep all original packaging and this must be made available for the carrier’s representative to inspect. We will abide by the carriers decision.
Shortages: It is your responsibility to sign for the correct number of packages as shown on the carrier's delivery consignment note. Any shortages must be noted on the consignment note and it will be your responsibility to notify us in writing within 3 days from delivery.
Incorrect Goods: It is your responsibility to notify us in writing of any incorrect goods supplied within 3 days from delivery.
Subject to the other provisions of these Terms, the Company shall not be liable for any loss, whether direct or consequential, economic or loss of profits or otherwise, arising directly or indirectly out of any delay in the delivery of the Goods.
5. Risk in and Ownership of the Goods
Risk in the Goods shall pass to the Buyer on delivery
Ownership in the Goods shall not pass to the Buyer until the Company has received in full in cleared funds all sums due to the Company in respect of the Goods and all other sums which are or may become due to the Company from the Buyer on any account.
Until ownership of the Goods has passed to the Buyer, the Buyer shall:
Hold the Goods on a fiduciary basis as the Company's bailee;
Store the Goods separately from all other goods of the Buyer or any third party in such a way that they remain identifiable as the Company's property;
Not destroy or deface any identifying mark on the Goods or their packaging;
Maintain the Goods in satisfactory condition insured with the Company's interest noted on the policy and hold any proceeds of such insurance on trust for the Company and not mix them with any other money.
6. Payment and price
Payment in full is required prior to dispatch & delivery of the goods. We accept most major Credit Card and Debit Card payments and bank transfer at the discretion of Watford Valves.
We are entitled to make adjustments to the price to take account of any increase in our supplier's prices, or the imposition of any taxes or duties, or if due to an error or omission the price published for the goods is wrong whether or not the order has been confirmed. We will inform you of the amended price and give you the opportunity to cancel the order. All prices on our website are EXCLUSIVE of VAT and delivery charges. You are responsible for all duties and taxes imposed by your country and any other charges imposed on route via the carrier or any government body. If we do not have this at the time the order is processed then we will charge V.A.T at the current rate. We will not change an order once processed and charged. It is the responsibility of the buyer to provide any documents or supporting evidence prior to the processing of an order. We reserve the right to refuse this concession if we are not completely satisfied with any aspect of the order or documentation.
7. Warranties
The Company warrants that the goods are of satisfactory quality on the following basis. All valves for a period of 3 months from date of invoice, Harma Diamond valves have 6 months, Except for the following valve types 211, 274b, 6146, 2a3, 6b4g, px4, and px25 and Sweep valves such as EL509/519, PL509/519 for 14 days from date of invoice. Mercury filled Rectifier valves such as type 83 and 845 triodes valve have 30 days from date of invoice.
Electrical and non-electrical consumable perishable component parts of which are valves, pots, chassis speakers, resistors capacitors, strings and all items which are not a finished product and require installation are warranted for a period of 7 days from the date of purchase provided installation is by qualified personnel. All the above component parts, if fitted or part fitted and all other consumable items all sales are final on date of purchase. Any item sold on clearance, wholesale or on no warranty basis to either consumer or trade buyer is treated on a trade to trade basis and are final with no return and no refund.
In accordance with the current selling regulations, you are entitled to cancel your order on applicable items at any time within 14 days of receiving your goods. The cancellation period ends on the expiry of the period of 14 working days beginning with the day after the day on which you received the goods. If you wish to cancel an order under these terms, first contact us and then return your products unopened & unused within 14 days of receiving your parcel. For fitted parts, consumable and perishable products, we do not accept returns. Other products, such as guitar pedals as have a 12 Month warranty for parts and labour unless stated otherwise. The Company's liability under the warranty shall be limited to repairing or replacing the goods in question or refunding the price of such goods, this is at the discretion of the company. If the product returned was on free delivery we will deduct the cost equivalent to the outward delivery cost for that item. This will be subtracted from the total to be refunded. The cost of the return and any duty or taxes is payable buy the buyer. Unwanted returnable items should be returned at the buyers cost in as new condition to qualify for a refund and are subject to the above terms.
We do not sell goods on a trial basis, please ensure you verify the component product suitability for your needs prior to any installation such as soldering, clamping or screwing any component speakers into a cabinet or installation of valves, or any fixing or any installation activity that might render the products appearance as 'used'.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Company's liability in contract, tort or otherwise arising out of the subject matter of the Contract shall not exceed the value of the Goods purchased and the Company shall under no circumstances be liable to the Buyer for any consequential, indirect or economic loss or damages.
9. Force Majeure
If either party is subject to an event of Force Majeure, that is circumstances outside its reasonable control, including but not limited to war, fire, industrial disputes or civil commotion, it shall notify the other and the first party's obligations under these Terms shall be suspended until it notifies the other party of the end of such event of Force Majeure.
10. General
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. To order goods through this website you must be at least 18 years of age and accept delivery within the UK. We reserve the right to decline orders for bulk or high value purchases We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these terms and conditions.
If any part of these Terms is found to be void or unenforceable by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such part shall be severed from these Terms which will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted according to English Law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
