Special Offer 15% DiscountThe Harma 12AX7WA Vintage and Philips 6V6GT has been designed to give you an outstanding clean sound with midband warmth without going thin and mushy especially if you use pedals to overdrive your amplifier.
The Harma 12AX7WA Vintage has been specially designed by the factory to recreate the two most vital elements of classic valves sound. The famous Mullard mid band and the outstanding top end clarity of the General Electric.
Sonically, the Harma 12AX7WA Vintage has plenty of definition with a clear open top end chime whether played in clean or overdriven mode. The factory enhanced midband replicates the vintage Mullard producing as warm and thick mid sound with excellent note the definition.
The master stroke is that the Harma 12AX7WA does not go thin and fizzy or harden it the midland when driven with pedals. it retains the sparkle and chime that is found in the great vintage American General Electric 12AX7WA. It has the GE style large soundstage and gives the clean channel that chiming top end sparkle without being brittle or hard.
In clean mode the Philips 6V6GT has a harmonic open top which provides a warm transparent and sparkling clean sound. The bass response is tightly focused with rock solid bass note definition.
No other new old stock or modern 6V6GT supplies this sparkling clean sound and top end chime that the military USA Philips 6V6GT delivers. That is why this valve is considered the bench mark when it comes to Fender style clarity.
The superb way that the Philips 6V6GT valve handles distortion and drive pedals is where this valve excels. When overdriven the valve has a nice crunchy later break up, the midrange is rich in harmonics with unrivalled clarity and when fully overdriven the bass does not go flabby like many other 6V6GT.
