The Haltron brand was part of the British company Hall Electric company that distributed valves and components in the UK.
They tended to buy stock from all European factories as well as Japan. They had a contract to supply the ministry of defence and so had had test facilities to supply to MOD standard.
Original Haltron ECF82 6U8 made to military CV5065 specification. The valve is marked 6U8 with Haltron Diamond logo and comes in the original Government box with CV 5065 markings. They tended to buy stock from all European factories as well as Japan. They had a contract to supply the ministry of defence and so had had test facilities to supply to MOD standard.
The valve features a strong internal supported anode plates with shark fin as they are sometimes called top and bottom mica with round halo getter.
The valve also has the identifier plate which shows it was made by Tungsram of Hungary. This was always my favourite for use in a vintage Vox AC10 as has excellent low noise characteristics. The other advantage particularly in the Vintage Vox AC10 is that the Tungsram is very low in microphonics.
It also bettered the Mullard ECF82 performance in a Radford STA25 that I owned. This due to its smooth and detailed sound and is very pleasing to listen.
These Haltron ECF82 have the superb Tungsram build quality & excellent sound characteristics and considering they meet CV5065 specification are a this a real audio gem.
