The ECL86 was one of the last triode pentode valves that was designed and came out in the early 1960s. It was designed for use in domestic radiograms and low output audio equipment.

ECL86 Tungsram was made in Hungary and is a very high quality audio valve that is excellent in audio designs or in guitar amplifier applications.

This valve is a fantastic audio valve providing a very balanced detail sound with good bass. In small guitar amps such as Marshalls and WEM the distorted sound is both large and rich. The valve comes in the original Tungsram blue boxes
