Siemens have made some of the best sounding audio valves that have become highly sought after for their sound and build quality.
Matched PairsSiemens EF86 with the solid pimple screen anode and date from the mid 1980's
These are very low noise and provide higher gain than many other nos EF86. So they can provide early break up and low microphonics when used in guitar amplifier circuits.
Superbly constructed the Siemens EF86 valve is very well balanced with superb image and detail. This valve is equally at home in high end audio preamps, Power amps or in vintage guitar amps. These I have always found excellent in Quad Amplifiers and in vintage Vox AC30.
These have been specially low noise tested and gain matched on anode current and output gain for use in circuits that require balanced pairs. These come in the original Siemens box and are available in matched pairs
