The JJ factory was born out of the ashes of the former Tesla factory.
They currently make a range of High quality valves based on some of Tesla most famous designs.

Sound wise, if you want to brighten up a dark sounding amplifier then this is the valve for you as the JJ EL34 has plenty of treble output which is a nice feature especially on guitar solos.
This valve has the classic EL34 crunch and overdrives easily when pushed. When overdriven the valves sound thickens up whilst retaining its bright tone.
The EL34 in its original format has a leaner mid-range response and has less depth in the bottom end when compared to JJ EL34 MK2 version. The EL34 is also less aggressive and a little looser in the bass than JJ E34L.
So the JJ EL34 is the first choice of guitarists who want more cut from a dark sounding amp and is also a good choice if your amp is bass heavy. These characteristic of the JJ EL34 are the reasons why many players love the sound of the JJ EL34 and why it is still produced today
