Our Mesa Boogie specially selected Cryo full revalve kits are designed to enable you to get the best sound out of your Mesa Boogie amplifier. These sets consist of specially position selected Cryo treated pre amp valves that have been selected for each position of your Mesa amplifier.
In the output stage we use specially cryogenically treated valves that have been selected to work with the Mesa boogies fixed bias arrangement. Certain output valves will be better for certain kinds of music and therefore to make your choice easier we have indicated this in our product description.
Mesa Boogie amps have pioneered the way in multi channel high gain amplifiers and with these cryogenically treated valves sets this will take your sound to a new level.
This full revalve kit is designed to give you the classic warm driving rock sound with plenty of rich sustain that is as close to the old Mullard tone as possible with the added clarity and definition that Cryo treatment brings. The Cryo treatment provides warm clear detailed bass with clear articulation and smooth even distortion when the amplifier is overdriven. The highs have more detail, attack and smoothness which can go from a glassy clean to a creamy sustain.
The Harma ECC83 Retro Cryo outstanding feature is a smooth linear midrange response and extended frequency response. So you get smooth warm overdrive with tight fat punchy lows and that classic Mullard style bottom end.
The EL84 Retro Cryo has a deep well defined tight bass that produces the classic slam of the Mullard in the bottom end with the bass being deeper and belter defined.
The midrange performance has been tweaked to provide warm clear detail at low volumes with clear articulation and smooth even distortion when the amplifier is cranked.
The valve set produces the ideal combination of warm top end chime with a tight British style bass response with punchy articulate top end sound which doesn't get hard or harsh when pushed hard at high volumes.
The kit consists of 10 valves.
