Westinghouse Electric was founded by George Westinghouse in 1886. They brought electricity to homes throughout the United States.
In 1919 they created RCA with GE, AT&T and United. It also bought the American division of Marconi. The electronics boom in the late 40 and early 1950 sees Westinghouse develop valves for commercial ,military and civilian use.
Westinghouse made some of the finest electronic valves available and set the bench mark for American electronic valve production along with RCA.
American made Westinghouse 6AQ5W 6005 that was supplied to the American Government. These are the famous the round anode design of the 6005 which was a special quality 6AQ5/EL90 made for long life and military applications. They have a very clear performance which makes them an ideal choice for studio equipment Audio and guitar valve amplifiers.
