Adzam was part of French Philips and was one of the biggest manufactures of valves in France. Over the years these have been very popular in such microphones as they have very low noise and produce a very refined sound
EF732 is interchangeable with the 5840 valve which is currently used in Telefunkens current production models of the AK47mkII and ELA M 260.5840 is electrically similar to the AC701K which was used in such microphones as the Neumann M49.
