The American made General Electric ECC81 is a superb sounding valve which is ideal for Audio as well as guitar applications. In Audio applications this was the valve that was used by Audio Research. It was also used by Fender from the late 1970's until the early 1990's when the General Electric plant closed.

The General Electric ECC81 has a real big sound stage and is a very musical sounding valve. They have a really even top end chime and sparkle with a warm transparent midrange. The valve also has a fast and responsive bass and has a nice overdriven tone if used in a valve pedal.

These are Original GE are the ribbed wing grey plate anode structure and special copper plate supports rods and has 12AT7 etched into the glass with white General Electric print

This valve simply out performs all the modern ECC81. This valve is superb in Fender amplifiers as a reverb driver as it has a clear response or equally at home in Audio pre amplifiers.
