These Cryo kits are designed to help you get the most out of your Peavey amplifier. Peavey have made some really great amplifiers and combo's over the years. Here are some of my personal favourite upgrades with many customers finding that by upgrading the valves to a cryo set and improving the speaker gives improved tone over the stock items.

The Peavey Classic 30 STR Cryo upgrade kit fitted with the Harma Bright Sapphire speaker
Is the ultimate upgrade for those who want that classic and fully authentic American sound.

The ECC83 STR Cryo has the most neutral and well balanced sound out of the current production types. The valve has a nice even bass which has plenty of depth. The mid-range is very transparent which when changing pickup selection give a nice tonal variation. The Top end treble is clear without being hard or fizzy.

The Harma EL84/E84L Cryo is chosen as it has the best clean sound out of any modern EL84. In clean mode the valve has a well-balanced sound with a deep solid bass. The valve breaks up later than many others and overdriven conditions the result was a clear defined creamy distortion. These characteristics make this the ideal valve in Fender style amplifiers.

The Harma Bright Sapphire Speaker as it's name suggests has an open and sparkling top end, a warm smooth midrange and a crunchy top end. In fact it has all the features that our customers wanted that were not available from any other manufacturers.

This speaker solves the three main problems that many players encounter when using a modern American voiced ceramic speaker is that they can sound overly bright and harsh. The second problem is the loss of individual note separation and clarity that many players require. The final issue is the bass end is also ill defined and too loose for many players in the modern world.

The Harma Bright Sapphire provides a tight warm bottom end with all the top end sparkle and musical crunch that you will need for that classic southern American sound.

Hi Derek,
Just a note to say how pleased I am with the new Harma Bright Sapphire speaker. I have fitted it to my Fender Deluxe Reverb, which came with a Jensen C12K originally, which is a nice speaker, but the Bright Sapphire beats it hands down. I am amazed at the difference it has made, Beautiful clarity and warmth at the same time. Nice tight bottom end and well defined Mids. Top end is super clear but never harsh. Sometimes it isn't easy finding the sweet spot with your amp, but with this I found it straight away. Using the Fender Deluxe reverb for clean sounds, which is what I play mainly, it is simply sublime both with my Strats and with my Gibson SG with P90's. It also takes pedals really well and I have used several patches from my Line6 POD X3 and they all sound fantastic. It is simply the best speaker I have ever used. I love Webers but this is every bit as good if not better. Once it has been played for a while I know it will sound better and better...
