The JJ factory was born out of the ashes of the former Tesla factory.
They currently make a range of High quality valves based on some of Tesla most famous designs.
Mesa Select for use in Mesa BoogiesThis valve is specially selected to run in Mesa Boogies fixed bias arrangement and will work in all Boogie that use EL34 or in the amplifiers with Simul-Class in the correct sockets.
The JJ-TESLA EL34 MK 2 is a major improvement over the standard JJ EL34. The Issue with the standard EL34 is that it was too thin and brittle sounding. In certain amplifiers this produced an overtly bright sound with no body.
Thankfully that has all changed with the introduction EL34 MK 2. The EL34 MK 2 has a deeper and more round tone with far body when compared to JJ standard EL34.The valve is far less aggressive than the top of the range JJ E34L. JJ have cleverly retained the top end characteristics of the E34L, so the new EL34 MK 2 are perfect for the guitarist who wants more the low mids and bass response without losing the definition and high end crunch that JJ valves are famous for.
Since its introduction this valve has been very popular with Mesa owners and an instant upgrade over the thinner sounding Mesa Str 447 valve. JJ has come up with a valve that is creamy and warm sounding which will suit a huge range of guitar players across all musical styles.
