Special Balanced item


This is a specially cryogenically treated version with balanced output from each triode section. These are for use in phono stages, Phase invertor or tube mics and can be bought in singles or as matched pairs.

Due to the huge number of requests to bring back the Cryo version of this valve because of its sound quality we have done so.

It is without doubt The Groove Tubes 12AX7 Mullard reissue which was instigated by Aspen Pittman
Is one of the best sounding ECC83 that have been made since the demise of Mullard.
Groove Tubes following the original Mullard design and production techniques meticulously. Groove Tubes used the Triple mica design of the original which reduces microphonics. They have followed the famous ladder plate design and the Mullard welding process and replicated that famous Mullard stability.

More importantly, sonically they made an absolute classic; they made a valve that has the dynamics and the super midrange warmth and clarity of the originals. The Cryo treated version of the Groove Tube 12AX7M valve is a real winner as you get a number of fundamental sonic improvements.

We then Cryo treatment provides greater musical clarity ,sharper mid-range and powerful clearly defined bass. The top end has more vibrance and detail than the untreated item. Hence most of these Cryo 12AX7M Groove tubes have been used in audio applications as customers have told us the Cryo version has no equal.

In addition to GTs in house testing these Premium GT are specially Dynamically Drive tested under real working condition by us and checked for noise and microphoney. They are then matched on db gain
