The PL82-30P16 was originally designed for low frequency power output use for television frame output valve or for audio use.

These can normally be found in audio stages of television receivers. A pair used in push pull class AB1 would deliver 9 Watts at 4 % distortion.

These where used as output valves in the early 1950s RSA/Selmer model TV15 amplifiers.

These come in the original Mazda boxes
