Peavey 6505 EH Groove Tube Super Premium 6L6 GC GE RI Full Revalve Kit is designed to give the sonic punch and clarity that is required for classic and hard rock and for metal players who want a large and crunchy sound with early break up.The 12AX7 Electro Harmonix has become one of the industry benchmarks of modern valve production. We select valves that are low in microphonics, have a well-balanced sound and break up easily and quickly. The valve has more attack on solos and has a smoother treble response when compared to the Chinese 12AX7. The 12AX7 Electro Harmonix valves attack combined with the ease of overdrive of The Groove tube makes this a superb combination for the rock player.
The Groove Tubes 6L6GC-G.E Re issue is a faithful recreation of General Electric later type clear top 6L6GC. This is one of the most famous 6L6GC of all time due to incredible dynamic range and large sound stage.
We have chosen this valve as it has the right balance of clarity and distortion when pushed hard. In clean mode, this valve provides a warm smooth sound with a very clean and open treble and is a faithful reproduction of the originals tone. In overdriven mode the valve has the right balance in terms of clarity and crunchy dynamics producing a clear creamy warm sustain.
Groove Tubes Super Premium 6L6GC G.E reissue valves are specially burst tested by us. We take selected GT items and in addition to GTs in house testing and distortion rating on output valves they also undergo our own unique real world burst testing. The burst testing process involves a series of varying timed electrical signal bursts. This runs the valves under the same stress conditions that they will meet in your amplifier. All out put valves are then dual matched by us on current and gain. This will ensure that you get the best selected GT valves available anywhere in the world.
