The Universal Audio Full Revalve Kits have been developed for our professional users.
These kits use original American made valves many of which are the higher grade military and industrial specification. The kits consist of the best sonically sounding valves that have been specified by our professional users. Due to the scarcity of these valves many of the items are only available as a complete kit.
6AQ5 modelUniversal Audio LA 610 MK 2 valve recording channel fitted with a 6AQ5W GE valve.
This full Upgrade kit consists of a set of 5 selected original American made valves to provide the best sonic and audio performance from this legendary piece of studio equipment.
This kit is for the version that uses a 6AQ5A valve and a 12AT7 in place of the 6072A these are generally the early mark 2 versions with serial numbers starting at 4691 and above.
The 610 mark 2 is a classic valve microphone preamp & LA-2A-style compressor in a single unit
Audio professionals the world over use the 610 as it is acknowledged for its smooth, natural compression characteristics. A unique tube-driven electro-optical attenuator system allows instantaneous gain reduction with no increase in harmonic distortion.
