The GT 6L6GC R is the Groove Tube valve that is used as standard by Fender in its most popular amplifiers such as the Hot Rod series such as the HR Deluxe and Deville and also the Blues Deluxe & Deville series. The valve is very resistant to microphonics and has long term reliability.
The Cryo version offers a number of sonic improvements over the non-treated item
The cryo treatment enhances the sound and gives a far smoother treble with less hardness. The valve also has far more top end smoothness and detail which really makes Fenders sparkle when you compare this to the non cryo version.
The bass response is also is transformed from being lost in a muddy mix on the non cryo version to a tight clear deep sound with plenty of low note clarity.

We take selected GT items and in addition to GTs in house testing and distortion rating on output valves they also undergo our own unique real world burst testing. The burst testing process involves a series of varying timed electrical signal bursts. This runs the valves under the same stress conditions that they will meet in your amplifier.
