Fender amplifies have a clean tonal character which is not matched by another manufacture in the world. Our Fender full revalve kits are put together after a life time of using and comparing the performance of valves in these amplifiers. The kits offer the best options drawn from original new old stock USA made valves and their modern counterparts. They are designed and put together to provide improved sonic and tonal definition with more clarity out of these legendary amplifiers. Each preamp kit is specially selected for low noise, uniform gain and tonal characteristic. All output valves have been burst tested and matched on anode current and gain.

The Fender Twin Reverb Harma STR Philips Full revalve kit is designed to give you the classic vintage Fender sound of an early 60s Fender amplifier. This set covers 1964 -1967 blackface circuits AA763, AB763 and 1968 -1982 silverface circuits AC568, AA769 & AA270.

The Harma ECC83 STR is used in our Fender kits as is the best choice for the sparkling clean sounds that most players want from their Fender amplifiers. The mid-range is very transparent which when changing pickup selection give a nice tonal variation which is lost in some other valves.
The valve responds very well to pedals and crunches up without that harsh fuzzy tone.
The Harma ECC83 STR construction is based on the famous frame grid design that was pioneered in Germany by Telefunken. The advantages of this design are reduced microphonics and better isolation from vibration, which is very important in combo applications such as Fenders.

The Philips 6L6WGB These are the original small bottle American Military JAN 6L6WGB/5881 that was made for the USA Military in the mid-1980's These are Full Jan Specification which means that they are long life and superbly made with the highest grade materials. No modern day 6L6GC valve is made to this specification.

In the Fender Twin Reverb, for example, no other valve gives that vintage punchy harmonic kick to the sound. The real feature of this valve is the tight midrange attack of this valve. It provides that rich midrange twang that is clear and even which is the character of the original 5881.
Many customers over the years have preferred the punchy bassman style sound of a twin reverb fitted with 5881.

It provides all the classic Fender sounds with ease, Solos and riffs are fat with a warm sustain and the Philips 6L6WGB does not get muddy and fizzy under extreme saturation.
This is the ultimate 6L6 type for use in the Fender Twin Reverb for that original punchy Bassman style sound.

The kit consists of 10 valves

4 Specially Selected Harma ECC83 STR for positions V1, V2, V4 & V5
1 Specially Selected Harma ECC81 STR for V3.
1 Specially Selected & Balanced Harma ECC81 STR for V6
4 Philips 6L6WGB USA made Military grade in a matched Quad.
