The 5Y3GT Sovtek is a redesigned valve based on the American Military design with a 140 mA maximum output. It can be used in many audio and guitar amplifier circuits to replace 5Y3G, 5Y3GA, 5Y3GT & 5Y3GTA.
The valve is also used by many manufactures such as Fender and Mesa Boogie and Vox amplifiers and is also sold by Groove tubes as the GT 5Y3GT R
One of benefits of the Sovtek 5Y3GT is that it is indirectly heated this gives a slow turn on which results in longer output valve life. This is an Ideal upgrade from the stock Chinese valves that many manufactures fit and offers reliable performance
