VHT amplifiers have been around for 20 years and are best known for it's boutique range of amplifiers. Many of their designs are based on classic American amplifiers and British amplifiers of the past. In recent years VHT have made a range of hardwired amplifiers in China which are easy to modify as they have used traditional turret board. Here we have some excellent upgrades to help you to customise your sound.
The VHT classic 18 1 x 12 combo fitted with a Celestion vintage 30 upgrade kit is designed to provide a tight driving rock sound with plenty of rich sustain. It is an effective upgrade over the stock Celestion Green back for those who want a more authentic rock sound.

The Harma ECC83 Retro provides a harmonically rich and detailed sound with excellent 3D midrange warmth. This valve has a traditional British voiced sound that has a huge singing sustaining tone when overdriven. The outstanding feature of this valve is its smooth linear midrange response and extended frequency response so you get smooth warm overdrive with tight fat punchy lows.

The Harma EL84 Retro has a deep well defined tight bass that produces the classic slam of the Mullard in the bottom end. The midrange performance has been tweaked to provide warm clear detail at low volumes with clear articulation and smooth even distortion when the amplifier is cranked. This gives the amp a punchier British sound with that warm midrange response.

The Celestion Vintage 30 speaker provides immense volume and sustain with very tight bass response. Single note runs are clear and the speaker is rich in harmonics.
