VHT amplifiers have been around for 20 years and are best known for it's boutique range of amplifiers. Many of their designs are based on classic American amplifiers and British amplifiers of the past. In recent years VHT have made a range of hardwired amplifiers in China which are easy to modify as they have used traditional turret board. Here we have some excellent upgrades to help you to customise your sound.

The VHT Special 6 1 x 10 combo fitted with Celestion G10 Green back an excellent classic British blues and rock speaker for this little amp. The G10 green back gives plenty of warmth without hardness or top end fizz.
We use a combination of the best of the current production and new old stock items to achieve this.

The Harma ECC83 Retro provides a harmonically rich and detailed sound with excellent 3D midrange warmth. This valve has a traditional British voiced sound that has a huge singing sustaining tone when overdriven. The outstanding feature of this valve is its smooth linear midrange response and extended frequency response so you get smooth warm overdrive with tight fat punchy lows.

The U.S.A made Philips 6V6GT valve is the benchmark for that classic Fender bright and clean sound. The valve has a clear top end chime and vibrancy that no other 6V6GT can match. In overdriven mode the Philips valve excels as it provides a clean punchy overdrive with plenty of rich harmonics.

Celestion G10 Green back is Celestions blues and rock 10 inch speaker. It has a warm midrange response which is clear and crunchy when pushed. It has the classic smooth lead sound with a tight bottom end kick.
