In the early 1980s was Sylvania sold to Philips and the Philips ECG valves were produced in the Emporium plant until it closed
Original USA made 6197 pentode which is a very good audio item.The 6197 is a special quality power pentode that was designed for operation for long periods either full on or at cutoff. The valve will also perform well as a single ended high gain audio amplifier, again with 2.8 Watts output and a distortion of 8%.
This valve is a special quality version of CV5041 and 6CH6
