Philips Electronics Components Group was the name given to the products marketed in America after Philips bought the American valve manufacturer Sylvania in the early 1980’s. Sylvania was a major manufacturer of valves and Philips bought them to get the lucrative American Government and military contracts.
These valves are of the highest military grade which offer outstanding performance and were all made in the USA.
Original USA made Philips Jan specification 6111WA Military grade super miniature valve that is the highest quality 6111 type ever made. This valve has great detail and clarity and therefore is used in many tube microphone applications.This was a special quality valve that was designed with exceptional mechanical strength. It also has a specially designed heater cathode construction capable of withstanding intermittent operation. This as reliability and the highest operational performance.
This item is Ideal for replacement or upgrade in Neumann M149 tube microphone at a sensible price. Philips Sylvania made the majority of these super miniature valves and there is no current production of this item.
