We have a range of high quality valve sockets for replacement in Vintage and modern amplifiers. We have a small stock of original Mcmurdo valves bases as well as the very high quality Belton bases.
All are chassis mount unless stated.
Original Mcmurdo chassis mount octal 8 pin socket which is ideal for vintage amplifiers. These were used as original equipment in Marshall, Hi Watt, Sound City and Orange amplifiers.These items come direct from military surplus and due to the age the mounting rings do show some light ageing/discolouring due to storage conditions.
This however looks right in vintage amplifiers such as Marshall etc. if you are restoring them or looking to match a vintage base. These brown octal Mcmurdo bases are ideal and were used in many military applications. The bases have a 3 lever contacts which means that they can be split into 3 sections which makes soldering easy. These items we have supplied to Orange Amplifiers.
Ideal for use with 6V6GT, 6L6GC, KT66, EL34, KT88, 6550 and any octal application
