UK company that relabels valves under the Edicron valve name
Singles OnlyThe Original Sovtek EL34WXT rebranded by Edicron and was the valve that had increased gain over the EL34 G PLUS Sovtek. The EL34 WXT has the Black plastic base, Copper support rods and copper getter road with ring getter.
Edicron supplied these to many manufactures as we as valve resellers and popular in Marshall due the gain an attack of the valve when overdriven.
The valve has a tightly focused and punchy sound with plenty of top end bite. It has a fast and aggressive attack and early breakup that gives chords and Solo lines a tight crunch with a wonderfully aggressive top end bite. This makes this a great choice for classic British rock and is an ideal choice for Marshall Style amps.
Please note Sovtek valves from this era were never straight. These are exactly like that and are not straight. So if you are a person that want perfectly straight valves then do not buy these. If you want great sounding EL34 then you cannot buy cheaper than these
