Raytheon Technologies Corporation is an American multinational aerospace and defence Electronics group. They produced valves in the USA and distributed valves that they sourced around the globe under the Raytheon brand name. 1961 They took over British electronics company AC Cossor and merged it with Raytheon
Single Square Getter5U4GB Raytheon USA rectifier that was used in many early 1960's era Fender amplifiers. These the early black anode plate version. This valve features the single square top getter and thick ribbed reinforced plates.
Early 5U4GB Raytheon are very sought after due the exception quality control and sound quality.
5U4GB Raytheon have proved to be long lasting in demanding applications such as Mesa Boogie single, Dual and triple rectifier's amplifiers and were original equipment in many of Fenders iconic designs. If you have one of these early Fender amplifiers then this valve would be my first choice.
5U4GB of this quality and with Black plates are now getting very hard to find.
