UCH42 Mullard Marconi with Marconi type number X142 printed on the valve. This is an early all glass triode hexode and dates from 1955 as per the master carton. The X142 was made by Mullard and was designed as oscillator and mixer for superhet receivers, and the hexode section was designed to operate with an AGC control voltage.

These have the wonderful Marconiphone paper label in red and green, a classic UCH42
