Marshall Amplifiers are voice of Rock and Roll past, present and in future. These amplifiers have been used by all the music legends from Clapton's fierce blues breaker solos with John Mayall, to the powerhouse slam of Jimmy Page in Led Zeppelin to Steve Jones awesome sound with his JCM800. Now the Magic of Marshall little Class 5 head and combo can be improved with our special cryo sets.
I know I had hours of fun with my own class 5 Marshall putting these kits together and these are designed to enable you to get the best out of your particular amplifier.
Special Offer 10% DiscountThe Marshall Class 5 Classic Cryo upgrade kit fitted with a Celestion vintage 10 is designed to provide the ideal combination for those who demand a tight driving rock sound with plenty of rich sustain. It is an effective upgrade over the stock Celestion speaker as it provides a more authentic hard rock sound.
This in conjunction with the Harma Cryo Retros added warmth makes this an excellent upgrade. The kit is designed to give you as close to the old Mullard tone as possible and the classic British Marshall sound.
We use a combination of the best of the current production items to achieve this.
The Harma ECC83 Retro Cryo provides a harmonically rich and detailed sound with excellent 3D midrange warmth. This valve has a traditional British voiced sound that has a huge singing sustaining tone when overdriven. The outstanding feature of this valve is its smooth linear midrange response and extended frequency response so you get smooth warm overdrive with tight fat punchy lows.
The Harma EL84 Retro Cryo has a deep well defined tight bass that produces the classic slam of the Mullard in the bottom end. The midrange performance has been tweaked to provide a warm clear detail at low volumes with clear articulation and smooth even distortion when the amplifier is cranked.
The Cryo treatment provides warm clear detailed bass with clear articulation and smooth even distortion when the amplifier is overdriven. The highs have more detail, attack and smoothness which can go from a glassy clean to a creamy sustain.
The Cryo process provides more dynamics than the untreated items and therefore provides a warmth and clarity that before was only attainable by using expensive new old stock valves such as the Mullards.
The Celestion Vintage 10 speaker provides immense volume and sustain with very tight bass response. Single note runs are clear, very punchy and the speaker is rich in harmonics. This is the industry standard rock speaker and the 10 inch version of Celestions vintage 30.
