In the very early 1950s CBS bought Hytron Labs who was one of the America's leading valve producers. This made the combined CBS Hytron group one of the leading suppliers and manufactures of TV and radio electronics.
In the mid 1960 CBS who where hungary for market share bought Fender musician instruments.
OC3 cold cathode voltage stabiliser valve made in the USA by Hytron. High specification made for military applications throughout the 1950 and 1960s. These have the shouldered bottle shape with the silver cylindrical anode plate and offer high performance and long life, ideal for old Hammonds. These outperform and out last the Russian OC3
