The benefits of using deep cryogenic treatment on audio components are well documented but I will explain the process of DCT in more detail and the relevance to guitar cables.
The role of any cable or audio components is to pass on as much information as possible with the least amount of loss. The cable must be able to accurately reproduce the sound and tone of the music that is fed through it. Many musicians will spend thousands of pounds on a guitar and amplifier set up and then use a budget cable to transmit the signal, then wonder why their equipment sounds lifeless or lacks the character that they had expected.
The DCT process eliminates the stresses created in the drawing and forming process when manufacturing the copper briad used to make the cable. The DCT process then re-aligns the conductor crystals which makes them more uniformed and consistent. This maximises the speed, purity and accuracy of signal transfer. This in turn gives the cable an extended frequency response and improved definition in the sound.
