The Tung-sol reissue valves are produced by the Sovtek Corporation to high standards at their reflector plant. These are recreations of some of the most popular Audio and guitar valves and they also produce some original designs under the Tung Sol name such as the KT120.
These valve are used by original equipment manufactures the work over for their sound quality and reliability.
The Tung Sol ECC83 5751 is made and designed to replicate the performance of the classic American made 5751 for those of you who want low gain and increased headroom.The 5751 is a low gain version of the 12AX7 which produces around 30% of gain reduction when compared to a 12AX7 and gives a cleaner sound if used in the first stage. The lower gain structure of this valve also gives improvements in microphonics. The Tung Sol 5751 has a warm and musical sound with plenty of top end clarity.
This valve is ideal for guitarist wishing to clean up their amplifiers distorted tone or simply get more clean headroom.
