Svetlana Electron Devices, St. Petersburg: The Svetlana winged C is a major Russian power-tube manufacturer. Formerly a part of the huge Svetlana collective factory. The valves that we stock under the Svetlana/winged C are the original items made by the JSC Svetlana Company that owns and operates the Svetlana factory in St. Petersburg, Russia. This factory has a long history of making valves and transmitting valves .In fact have been making vacuum tubes for over 100 years. These valves have constantly topped not only our own valve reviews but also in audio and guitar reviews the world over. They offer some of the best sounding types available today.
Limited stock

Balanced Item

The Original Svetlana 12AX7A Silver Box anode plate which date from 2001.

The original Svetlana winged C Factory tried to replicate the famous Mullard M8137 box plate anode with this design.

The valve feature silver box anode place with double supported flying saucer getter
With thick top mica.

I have only a small stock of these and these were items that I kept for my own 1973 Marshall Super Lead.

Sonically this ECC83 has a very balanced and even tone and has a very smooth mid-range. The treble never gets harsh and never becomes fizzy the valve just has the right blend of clarity, crunch and sustain.

Most of the factory production went to Marshall and this valve was hard to get right from the start hence now it is very rare. These are a rare NOS Classic Svetlana Winged C ECC83 offer great sound quality

We have tested each one on db gain and they are perfectly balanced with the gain figures on the box

All Balanced preamp valves are Dynamically Drive tested under real working condition and are matched on dB gain. They also have passed the following tests:
