The Svetlana Winged C 6550B was the predecessor to the 6550C.

The 6550B replaced the previous versions known as the B2 and B3 which had pill side getters and moved to the double top Getter.

The 6550B also introduced the tri plate anode and gold wound grids to help heat transfer. Has internal bracing and thick grade glass for long life. The Svetlana 6550B features a gold plated molybdenum alloy control grid and graphite coated screen grid to reduce secondary emission.

The valve has the round anode holes and is identical the first round anode hole 6550C.
The valve is marked 6550B Made in Russia but has no logo

The valve is noted for its deep bass and musical detail. The bass is rock solid and very well balanced. The top end is very smooth with no hardness. They have also been voted best buy by many of the world's top reviewers in both audio and professional music magazines.

We have limited stocks of this new old stock gem and they are only available in singles we cannot supply matched items. These are ideal as regulators for Audio Research amplifiers.
