The Mullard Radio Valve Co. Ltd was founded in 1920. In 1923,to meet the huge consumer demand in electronics Mullard entered an agreement with Philips of Holland and by 1926 Philips bought Mullard and established one of the greatest valve manufacturing companies in world history.

They developed many iconic valve such as the ECC83, EF86, EL34,EL37, EL84, GZ34 and GZ37.These are regarded as the best valves of their type ever made and original Mullard items are high prized by Musicians Broadcasters and Audiophiles the world over due to their sound quality. These are original Mullard ECL82 which many customers have told us that this is the one of the best sounding ECL82.

The Mullard has the Old logo is known for a very sweet and detailed midrange. The valve gives a warm and clear musical sound. Mullard described the ECL82 as an audio triode plus output pentode , so in reality you get part of an ECC83 and part of an EL84 Mullard in one glass envelope.It was used in many vintage radiograms and audio amplifiers as well as The Wem Westminster from the early 1962 and now in the modern Carr Super bee Range
