Laney make some very fine sounding amplifiers.The stock speaker in most of the early amplifiers was their own H/H invader. This speaker range, to put it politely never enhanced the amplifiers sound quality. We have a included the most popular upgrades of valves and speakers that we have made to Laneys over the past 10 years.
The Laney is a really good sounding small British combo. Early versions were fitted with poor H/H invader speakers which really lets this amp down. This set provides a cost effective upgrade and uses a selected set of JJ valves in combination with the excellent Celestion G12 Super 65.

Our JJ revalve kits consist of a specially selected set of JJ ECC83 S preamp valves combined with selected and matched set JJ output valves. All preamp valves in our kits are specially selected and include a balanced valve for the phase inverter position. All output valves are burnt in dual matched on current and output gain.

JJ valves a renowned around the world for their sound quality. They produce a smooth clear high end with a clean and clear treble. The midrange is full and well balanced with a tight and well defined bass end. In overdriven mode the JJ produce a warm overdrive with a little compression and no harshness.

Celestion G12 Super 65 is a special 65 watt speaker made by Celestion and developed with Marshall. Marshall used this speaker as it delivers a tight low end with the classic vocal Celestion style midrange. The speaker crunches up nicely an evenly which makes this a good rock speaker
Marshall developed this speaker with Celestion to have a superb clean sound. The top end response is both clean and musical with excellent note projection on solos. This is a remarkable combination at a speaker in this price range as it with work well the fender style clean and handle extreme high gain.
