These Cryo kits are designed to help you get the most out of your Peavey amplifier. Peavey have made some really great amplifiers and combo's over the years. Here are some of my personal favourite upgrades with many customers finding that by upgrading the valves to a cryo set and improving the speaker gives improved tone over the stock items.
The Peavey Classic 20 STR Cryo upgrade kit fitted with the Celestion G10 Green back speaker is designed to give you're a classic vintage sound with plenty of warmth without any hardness or top end fizz. It has the classic smooth rock sounds of the G12H with a tight bottom end kick.The Cryo kit has more transparency and greater definition over the standard untreated valve set.
The Harma ECC83-STR Cryo is used as this provides the most neutral well balanced sound out of the current production types. The cryo treatment enhances the treble giving more detail with a tighter more solid bass response.
The Harma E84L Cryo valve produces the maximum clean headroom and the best clean sound out of any current EL84. In clean mode the treble response is both cleaner and more detailed providing a rich warm sparkling tone. The Harma E84L breaks up later than many others and this advantage results in an overdriven sound that is clear rich and punchy. These characteristics make this the ideal valve in this amplifier.
The Celestion G10 Greenback makes the amp sound bigger than the standard stock speaker.
This is an ideal speaker for the guitarist who wants to maintain the amps clarity.
This speaker provides the classic British style tight bass response with strong warm midrange clarity. Lead guitar sounds are smooth and crunchy when pushed without any loss of clarity thus making this an excellent upgrade for the Classic 20.

2 Specially Selected and matched Harma EL84/E84L Cryo
1 Celestion 10 inch Ceramic G10 Greenback 16 ohm speaker
