Tesla started production in 1922 under its original name of Radioslavia Ltd in Czechoslovakia. It has a long history of manufacturing high quality transmitting valves and defense equipment. The Tesla factory was known for making some outstanding valves. The Original EL34 better in terms of microphonics and reliability than the famous Mullard EL34, hence Marshall used the Tesla EL34 from the mid 1970’s onwards. The frame grid E83CC was due to its construction the most expensive of it type to produce. Still to this day it is one of the best sounding ECC83/12AX7 types ever made. These are just a few of an endless list of pioneering valves produced by this great Czechoslovakian factory that sadly is no longer with us.
These are early 1980's production original Czechoslovakian Tesla made E88CC/6922
These valves are from the Zavod Trintec factory and have the factory code of 37 on the glass with the original Tesla white print. These valves have a very clear and rounded performance and offer excellent sound quality.

Customers have told us that these valves have outperformed the new JJ and Electro Harmonix E88CC/6922 items in audio applications. These valves have also proved very popular in tube microphones because of the well balance soundstage.

The Tesla E88CC is very well made with internal grey anode supports with double support under the round halo getter. It has excellent sound characteristics producing a nice treble clarity with a dynamic smooth midrange with a tight low end.

They offer outstanding audio sound quality at a lower than average cost. The E88CC is a direct replacement for this and 6DJ8, ECC88, 6922 and Chinese 6N11.

All Balanced preamp valves are Dynamically Drive tested under real working condition and are matched on dB gain. They also have passed the following tests:
