The Harma ECC83 Retro is a true sounding recreation of the famous Mullard ECC83.
Unlike many tube suppliers, we are not interested in a look alike copy We are only interested in the sound.
This valve produces the warm detail and harmonically rich midrange that made the Mullard sound so famous.The valve has been designed to have a smooth harmonic slope which give a warm crunch.
The Retro also has it sights set on the future and so this warm slope reduces the upper end fizz and hardness that occurs in moden day Hi gain pre amps.
To reduce the microphonics the valve has extra thick mica spacers with a rigid anode construction.To further reduce microphonics the valve is made from extra thick glass with a 22mm diameter.
In manufacture special attention is paid to the stamping of the anode plates to ensure close balance between the triodes.
This valve provides classic warm crunch harmonically rich 3 dimension midrange response that will bring the best out of any amplifier.
