The Keeley Modded BOSS DS -1 ULTRA Offers the finest sound in Marshall-Amp Crunch from any pedal. This provides instant Angus Young/Eddie Van Halen sounds from your cranked valve amp. Steve Vai also uses one so modern tones are also at your finger tips.
Robert uses a toggle switch so you can easily switch between classic sounds.
1 * With a diode Toggle Switch you have the DS-ULTRA huge warm valve tone
2* switch back and you have the classic Seeing Eye Mod (SEM) version of the pedal for high gain crunch with valve like distortion
3* Extra mods to increase the distortion range at maximum settings in order to get the greatest tonal range.
4* Robert then corrects the bass response and give you a fuller, more powerful tone. Perfect for Strats or any guitar with single coils.
5* Larger Silver Mica Cap installed to further smooth the overall sound and eliminate hardness..
* Toggle Switch Up - Our Standard Seeing Eye Mod.
* Toggle Down - Adds another LED to the clipping circuit for a Large Fat Tone.
The Extra LED increases the volume output of the pedal a bit, great for using the DS-1 as a pre-amp to push the amp or to fine tune a low distortion sound on the unit.
6* The most important mod in my book is that Robert engineers the mod to increased 2nd order harmonics which is the sound we all love in valve amplifiers thus enhancing the pedals valve like qualities.
