This is the latest and improved version of the current Chinese 12AX7. This valve does not have the harsh midrange peak of the old Chinese item. T.A.D in conjunction with the factory have made great improvements in quality control and consistency.
The valve has a very high gain and amplification factor. Improvements have been made in terms of the tone of this tube as it produces a nice crunch with plenty of bass definition with reduced hardness.This is a great rock tube when used in old 4 input Marshall amps and are great metal/grunge tubes in high gain amps. They offer earlier distortion than other current production items from Harma, Sovtek, JJ/tesla and Groove tubes. T.A.D Screen out valves with high microphonics, A/C filament hum and noise.
